With the arrival of summer, Barcelona citizens enjoy movies in an original and appealing way. Sala Montjuïc is the name of the popular open-air film festival that takes place under the Barcelona sky. Thousands of people meet at Montjuïc Castle, in particular at the Santa Eulàlia ditch, every year to enjoy culture in the beautiful outdoors of Barcelona.
2/7 Music, poetry and art at ‘Summer Nights’ at CaixaForum
As every summer, CaixaForum offers ‘Sumer Nights’ with concerts, theatre, poetry readings, temporary exhibitions and other activities at open air, in the hall of the museum located close to the Montjuïc Fountain, just five minutes from Plaça Espanya. ‘Summer Nights’ are every Wednesday from 8pm during months of July and August. The activities cost 3-6 Euros.
30/6 Performing Arts arrive to Barcelona by the hand of Grec Festival 2014
The Grec Festival is back in its 38th edition to become the star of Barcelona summer, with a programme of theatre, music, dance, circus and opera. The Grec Festival of Barcelona will take place throughout whole July and in various theatres and venues in the city, but is mostly located on the Monjuïc hill, is Teatre Grec, the iconic Greek Theatre in Montjuïc Mountain, one of the highest points of the city.

The FADfest is the festival of industrial design, graphic design and visual communication, architecture and interior design, fashion, art and craftsmanship. Today 25th of june open the fourth edition with the aim of bringing the design to worldwide.
16/6 Barcelona experiences contemporary art at MACBA
Saturdays at 7pm, ‘MACBA es viu’ (Experience MACBA) programme proposes a variety of cultural activities to show modern art from another perspective. This season, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona (MACBA) extends its schedule until 9 pm to present a special schedule of shows and exhibitions, which coexists with other permanent exhibitions.
11/6 Flamenco, opera and cinema at Palau de la Música
Musical events never stop at Palau de la Música of Barcelona. Next weekend is not an exception. Today, the five stars hotel in Barcelona, Hotel Omm, presents you two ceremonies you can not miss. They join flamenco (dancing style from Andalusia), opera, cinema and music in two venues. On Friday June 13rd, ‘Opera and Flamenco’ feature will take place in Sala de Concerts. Next day, Saturday 14th, at the same hall, the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès (Symphony Orchestra fom Vallès region) will show ‘The invisible of the cinema’ concert, dedicated to the soundtracks of 80’s and 90’s films.
